Steve thanked me for playing "The Green Field" on Something Blue.
Thanks so much for playing selections from "THE GREEN FIELD".... especially the title track. Long recorded performances like that are rarely heard on the radio.
I replied:
That's part of my thing on Something Blue. Lot's of live music. Lots of tracks that are too long for radio. Less talking and more music.
I also do a weekly musicology podcast that airs on Arkansas Roots where I tell stories about Arkansas musicians I have recorded or worked with. More talk and only one song that's not too long to fit the Arkansas Roots style.
